Variant 1
Sportiness and outstanding looks, with factory-set damping.
The KW Variant 1, or "V1", coilovers are the ideal entry-level system for street performance. The coilovers use high-quality "Inox-Line" stainless steel struts, corrosion resistant springs, bump stops, and dampers that are optimally tuned by KW engineers. This results in a balanced and sporty feel, specific to each vehicle application, and designed for long lasting driving pleasure.
With KW V1 coilovers, you can achieve maximum vehicle lowering, within a range approved by KW engineers. This range normally allows for between 1-3 inches of lowering capability. Even after years of steady use, you can easily adjust the ride height thanks to the dirt resistant trapezoid threads and composite adjustment collars used.

-
Customized suspension lowering
KW coilover suspensions, KW coilover springs, and KW DLC AirSuspensions allow the suspension to be steplessly lowered within the framework of the certified technical component report. This means that the suspension can be lowered to suit the personal needs of the user, and depending on the product category, a setting ranging from Comfort to Performance can be chosen. -
Composite spring seat
The KW coilover spring seat, also known as a spring perch, is made from a wear resistant and friction-optimized polyamide composite material encompassing a stainless steel insert. This polyamide composite material prevents oxidation while the stainless steel insert maximizes strength. This helps guarantee the long-term functionality of ride height adjustability. -
Trapezoidal thread
In comparison to common coilovers, KW uses a friction-optimized trapezoidal thread that is less sensitive to dirt and requires less force to adjust. Its higher cross-section also provides a higher load-bearing capacity. -
INOX-LINE
KW’s coilover suspension struts are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel that is rust-proof. Inox-Line coatings will not wear off while making suspension adjustments. This makes your KW coilover struts 100% corrosion resistant with an unlimited lifespan. In combination with the trapezoidal thread and polyamide composite spring seat guarantees long-term usability and unaffected ride height adjustability. -
7-post driving dynamics test standard
Testing Like in Formula 1
Used regularly by automobile manufacturers and international racing teams, KW’s in-house 7-post drive dynamics test facility optimally tunes the KW coilover suspensions according to the design and target group. The 7-post drive dynamics test facility is essential for fine tuning along with actual on-road evaluation on public roads and race tracks. -
Technical component report
The technical component report is always included in the package and outlines the individual options for lowering the suspension of the respective vehicle. This report ensures the vehicle remains useable when set within the guidelines provided in the installation instructions. Lastly, the report also includes vehicle classification, requirements, and tips for safe fitting.
Variant 2
Sportiness, more body control, more ride comfort and outstanding looks. Features adjustable rebound stage damping.
The KW Variant 2, or "V2", coilovers are the suspension kit for the accomplished sports driver, who wants customized vehicle lowering with the ability to make adjustments in setup. The individually adjustable rebound stage damping ensures a better connection on fast road sections, and easier vehicle control. The driving comfort on poor road surfaces can be significantly influenced with customized rebound stage damping.

TVR-A Rebound stage
(Twin Valve Rebound - Adjustable)
The two-step, patented TVR-A technology enables a small volume of oil to flow through an adjustable, conical low-speed bypass in the case of slow damper speeds, while in the case of higher piston speeds, the main rebound stage valve opens for the large volume flows. This provides major improvements in ride comfort, without influencing the high-speed.
Variant 3
Performance, high level sportiness and comfort, with racing technology for the road. Features separately adjustable compression and rebound stage damping.
Cutting-edge motorsports technology for more performance on the road. Manufactured in Germany, the KW Variant 3, or "V3", coilovers provide significant safety advantages in road traffic. The high quality dampers, springs, and elastomer spring elements significantly reduce pitching and rolling movements during load changes such as evasive maneuvers, cornering, acceleration, and braking. The coilovers also help shorten braking distance. Thanks to improved support and feedback, drivers not only feel safer, but driving in everyday life becomes even safer.
With compression and rebound stage damping, that can be set separately and independently of each other, the damper setup allows you to customize based on your personal driving preferences or vehicle changes such as weight, tire characteristics, or altered vehicle rigidity. True performance optimization is only possible with this unique, patented system. For example, increasing the compression damping force will allow you to get more grip from your tires, improve cornering behavior, and reduce squat, without simultaneously altering the rebound stage damping which is optimally matched to the spring rate (a scenario that results in reduced grip and the associated loss of performance).

Can I customize my KW coilovers (i.e. custom spring rates, Swift springs, etc.)?
All KW coilover series have been extensively tested at KW Automotive GmbH in Fichtenberg, Germany. Each coilover kit is designed to maximize the performance and ride comfort for the specific vehicle/chassis it will bolt onto.
KW Automotive has meticulously designed their coilovers to improve vehicle handling and control, body balance, stability, traction and grip, and to reduce pitch and rolling movements. The coilovers greatly improve the quality of your ride, and allow you to lower your vehicle.
Due to the extensive testing completed, KW Automotive is confident in their coilovers, and that customizations will not be necessary. Therefore, at this time we do not offer any customization options for the KW coilovers here on our site.
How much will KW coilovers lower my vehicle?
Height adjustment varies depending on your vehicle model, but is typically between 1-2.5 inches below stock height.
Are KW coilovers damping adjustable?
Damping adjustment capabilities depend on which KW coilover series you choose.
KW V1: Factory-set pre-configured damping setup.
KW V2: 16-clicks of rebound damping adjustment (compression damping is finely tuned by KW engineers).
KW V3: 16-clicks of rebound damping adjustment, 12-clicks of compression damping adjustment.
